Soccer Kids of America is a character development and healthy lifestyle program for at-risk youth, focused on teaching children life skills and introducing them to basic soccer skills after school at elementary schools across our nation.

Soccer Kids of America provides an after school program for local elementary schools with a high percentage of low income students, teaching them life skills and healthy lifestyle through an introduction to the sport of soccer, giving them the tools to be successful in life.  Charlie Slagle is a board member of the Soccer Kids of America charity.

Soccer Kids of America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency partnering with at-risk elementary schools to provide a character development and healthy lifestyle program after school. Soccer Kids of America volunteers teach at-risk youth life skills including respect, diversity, integrity, perseverance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and nutrition through an introduction to the sport of soccer. At-risk elementary schools are defined as those with 75% or more of their children on the free and reduced lunch program. The program is structured to draw parallels between using these life skills on the field and off the field, at home and at school, giving the children tools to be successful in life. Upon graduation of the program the children receive their own soccer ball and the possibility of a scholarship to play on a team in an organized recreational league in their area.
