Challenge Supplemental Tryouts |

Date: Friday, December 4, 2009 and Saturday, December 5, 2009 @ WRAL Soccer Center
Online Registration Deadline is November 23, 2:00 pm. (Mail-in check option payment must be postmarked by November 23rd deadline)
Online Registration fee prior to deadline: $15.00
Registration fee at the field: $30.00
Please note the following items:
Current Challenge players who register for Challenge Tryouts will be dropped from their
current team.
Recreational players may register for Challenge Tryouts without dropping from their
current team if they follow all other Recreational registration guidelines.
Registration fees paid for Recreational soccer will transfer to the player’s new
Challenge team for those players drafted at the tryouts.
Players who register for Challenge Tryouts may register in their age appropriate age group
or register one year older than their age appropriate age group.
Players may not register in more than one age group for the Challenge Tryouts.
U-15 – U-18 Girls Challenge teams will not hold tryouts until after the Spring 2010 season
since these teams are dormant in the spring.
The Tryout fee is non-refundable and does not apply to team registration fees.
If you are a current CASL player and the system does not recognize you when you enter
the required information to begin tryout registration, please do not proceed with registration.
You do not have to be a current CASL player to register for Challenge Tryouts.
However, if you were registered with a non-CASL team for Fall 2009 you
must be released from that team prior to attending CASL tryouts.
Online Tryout registration will no longer be available after 2:00 pm November 23.
All Tryout registration after the November 23rd deadline will be done at the field the
day of tryouts. Payment options will be cash or check at the field.
If paying for the Online Tryout registration by check, your payment must be
postmarked no later than November 23.
CASL gladly accepts payment by check. By providing your check as payment, if your payment
is returned unpaid, you authorize us to use information from the check to make a one-time
electronic transfer from your account for the face amount of the check and to collect a fee
of $30 ($25 collection fee plus a bank fee of $5) through electronic fund transfer
from your account.

ALL PLAYERS WILL REPORT TO THE WRAL RADFORD FIELDHOUSE TO CHECK IN OR COMPLETE WALK-UP REGISTRATION. All tryouts will be held at the WRAL Soccer Center.
Please note the change to Friday, December 4th for some age groups. Check this website and the CASL Weather Hotline 919-248-9516 for changes and updates.
U10, U11 and U13 CHALLENGE BOYS and GIRLS:
Friday December 4th
Walk-up Registration and Check-in for Pre-registered Players: 5:00 – 5:50 PM
Tryouts will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM

U10 Challenge Boys & Girls (8/1/99 – 7/31/00) – “Durham Bulls” field
U11 Challenge Boys & Girls (8/1/98 – 7/31/99) – “Centex” field
U13 Challenge Boys & Girls (8/1/96 – 7/31/97) – “Score” field
U12 and U14 CHALLENGE BOYS and GIRLS:
Saturday December 5th
Walk-up Registration and Check-in for Pre-registered Players: 3:00 – 3:50 PM
Tryouts will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Tryout Fields:
U12 Challenge Boys & Girls (8/1/97 – 7/31/98) – “Centex” field
U14 Challenge Boys & Girls (8/1/95 – 7/31/96) – “Durham Bulls” field
U15 – U18 CHALLENGE BOYS:
Saturday December 5th
Walk-up Registration and Check-in for Pre-registered Players: 5:00 – 5:50 PM
Tryouts will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Note:U15, U16, U17 and U18 Girls Challenge Tryouts are held after the Spring 2010 Season for the Fall 2010 Season. The U15 – U18 Challenge Girls Teams do not play a Spring Season.

All Tryouts are @ WRAL Soccer Center. Tryouts will run for approximately 2 hours
PARENTS ARE NOT TO BE ON THE GRASS/FIELDS – PARENTS MAY WATCH FROM THE GRAVEL AREAS/PARKING LOTS
for the artificial turf fields, all spectators must observe from outside the artificial surfaces. please observe the signs posted at these fields.
only water is allowed on the artificial surfaces.
Parents: Please make your children aware that cars will be coming and leaving the facility and to be careful when crossing roads
