Chelsea Announce Groundbreaking U.S. Youth Soccer Initiative
LONDON/RALEIGH, N.C. Chelsea Football Club announced today the start of an unprecedented initiative to partner with Americas top youth football clubs. Chelsea is beginning to build a network of top youth clubs across America to develop Chelsea Soccer Schools, a new Tournament called the Chelsea Sevens, coaching clinics and exchange programmes. The first relationship is with one of the largest and most successful youth football clubs in the U.S, the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) of North Carolina.

CASL is proud to announce the U16 and U18 CASL Academy Teams have clinched their division and earned a berth to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals, to be held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California July 12- July 19. The U18 team was the first team in the country to earn a spot at the Finals, while the U16 finalized their birth at the final Showcase Event in Greensboro. Both teams will be one of eight elite teams in their age group competing for the National Championship. [+] |
