July 16, 2013: Taylor Otto ('96 CASL Ladies ECNL) is one of 28 girls from across the county who was called to join the Under 17 Women's National Team Training Camp in preparation for the U17 CONCACAF Women's World Cup Qualifying. Taylor will join the rest of the U17 Women's National Team camp members at Ohio State University. This is a tremendous accomplishment and recognition for Taylor as she spent most of last season recovering from an ACL surgery. Over the years, Taylor has built up her soccer credentials through individual and team accomplishments that earned her this rare opportunity to represent her country on the biggest stage in women's youth soccer. Taylor was recently ranked by TopDrawerSoccer.com at #98 in Club Soccer Girls' Rankings in her class (2016). Some of her individual highlights include '97 Region 3 Olympic Development Regional Pool and invitations to participate at the US Soccer Training Center in Raleigh, the US Soccer U14 National ID Camp in Portland, and US Club Soccer ID2 Training Camps on two occasions. On top of that, she has been a member of the '96 CASL Chelsea Ladies ECNL team since 2011 and the '96 CASL Spartan Elite Black from 2008-2011. Some of her team accomplishments include NC State Cup Champions, USYS Region III Quarter finalists, Disney Jr. Soccer Showcase Champions, and a 2013 ECNL National Finals 4th place finish. Taylor has continued to remain grounded and credits a lot of her success to her CASL team saying, "Playing for this team has taught me commitment, how to compete, and how to deal with adversity. It has also taught me how to respect the game I love. Best of all, being on this team gives me the chance to be with my friends almost every day. This team is like my family.”

She participated in the 2012 U17 Women's National Team Training Camp and was a member of the U.S. team that won the 2012 CONCACAF U-17 Women's Championship in Guatemala and qualified for the 2012 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup.
