Fall 2013 Recreational Soccer Online Registration Now Open
All New and Veteran Recreational players, ages U5-U18, must register on or before June 6th to be guaranteed a position on a CASL team. New and veteran players who register after June 6th are not guaranteed a position on a team and will automatically be placed on a waiting list. (Veteran players who do not complete registration by June 6th will forfeit their spot on their Spring 2013 team.) Waitlisted players are not guaranteed a position on a team although CASL does make every effort to place all players that complete registration.

All players (veteran and new) will receive an early bird discount of $10 for completing the registration process by the June 6th deadline. Discount is applied to the fees charged during the online registration. The fees will automatically be $10 higher after the June 6th deadline. If choosing the mail in check option the completed registration MUST BE POSTMARKED by the June 6th deadline. If you are mailing in a check and it is not postmarked by June 6th please make sure you include an additional $10.
New Players:
New players must complete the online registration form and submit payment along with a copy of their birth certificate to the CASL office. Registration is not considered complete until all information is received; players with incomplete registrations will not be considered for placement on a team.
New players will be placed on a team closest to where the player lives and/or where openings exist.
When beginning the online registration new players should choose Recreation as the Program Option and proceed with the registration.
Veteran Players:
A player is considered a veteran player if he/she played in Spring 2013. IF registration is completed on or before the June 6th deadline, veteran players can choose to remain on their Spring 2013 team.
Veteran players who do not want to return to their Spring 2013 team still must register on or before the June 6th deadline in order to be guaranteed placement on a team. Players should decline to return to their previous team during the registration process. The player will then be placed on a team closest to where he/she lives and/or where openings exist.
HIGH SCHOOL VETERAN PLAYERS ONLY:
U16 Recreational players are players with the birth date range of 8/1/97 – 7/31/99.
U18 Recreational players are players with the birth date range of 8/1/95 – 7/31/97.
Veteran players who choose to return to their previous team that are rising U18 teams but are age appropriate U16 players may choose to return to their rising U18 team or may choose not to return. Veteran players who choose not to return to their previous team will be placed in the appropriate age group unassigned player pool which would be U16.
SPECIAL REQUESTS:
Special requests will not be honored by Capital Area Soccer League. USYSA and NCYSA expressly prohibit recruiting or building Recreation Division teams, for this reason CASL does not take requests.
Any request made in writing, in person or via email will not be considered in the placement process. (Players are placed on a team closest to where the player lives and/or where openings exist.)
Guaranteed Placement Deadline is June 6th.
