CASL ECNL U16 Advances to ECNL National Championships


Four teams from CASL ECNL (U14, U15, U16, and U17) earned the opportunity to compete in Seattle for a spot in the National Championships. CASL ECNL U16 went undefeated in group play June 26-June 29 during competition. In their first match-up against the West Florida Flames ECNL U16, CASL ECNL won 2-0. In the second game versus the Colorado Storm ECNL U16, CASL shut out the team 3-0. In the final match of group play, CASL shut out the D'Feeters Soccer Club ECNL U16 team out of Texas 2-0. The team came away with the maximum possible points (9) during group play. 

Coached by Sean Nahas, the CASL ECNL U16 team will compete at Nationals in Richmond in July. The U16 CASL ECNL team will be competing to bring back the ECNL National Championship to CASL. The most recent ECNL Championship was captured by CASL ECNL ('94) in 2012. 

The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) was founded in 2009 to enhance the developmental experience of the female youth soccer players in the United States. It is the premier landscape for the most elite female soccer players.
